Sharp SMD3070AS opening dimensions (30-inch microwave drawer)

Sharp's installation guide gives the cabinet opening for its 30-inch microwave drawer: 22-1/8 in to 28-7/16 in wide, 15-9/16 in high and at least 23-1/2 in deep.

Verify with the maker's installation instructions before you cut or buy. This page lists fit dimensions only. It is not installation guidance.

15-9/16" high opening

Width 22-1/8" minimum, 28-7/16" maximum. Depth 23-1/2" minimum. Cabinet 30" minimum.

Why the width is a range

Sharp gives the opening width as a range, 22-1/8" to 28-7/16". Its Figure 6 drawing shows the drawer itself at 30" wide (dimension E).

The guide is for the SMD3070AS. Sharp also sells an SMD3070ASY. Its support article is listed below, but we have not confirmed that it uses the same guide.
